Bathroom Light
 
Hi

I was wondering how I can wire up a light in my bathroom?

I have removed the old light which was a flouro that had a switch on/off and shaver point.

Now I ma trying to replace it with this lantern light that the mrs wants for the new bathroom. It has live and neutral and have wiring in place, but how do I arrange to switch it on and off.

what is the building regs on this if anyone knows it would be much aprreciated

You either have to run new wires for your switch or put the switch on it.

I'm guessing you're in the UK or similar. You may want to include that in your profile.

If you want a wall mounted switch, you'll have to run a cable from the light box to a wall box and switch.

I found a site that seems to be useful to our UK friends. I believe they have a forum also.
