I have a bathroom fan that has a black and white wire running to it that goes up to a box and is spliced with another wire that runs directly to the box for an outlet and double switch in the bathroom. So there is no direct power to it. The light is fine on one switch, as is the outlet on it's own set of wires, both have power. My question is how do I power the wire for the fan? There was a wire that went between the outlet and switch, but I can't remember how it was hooked up. And all that was in use was a black and red wire in the switch box. Thanks.
Can you draw something in Paint, or Google Sketch-up how the wiring is from the circuit breaker to the outlet, then from the outlet to the junction box for the fan and lighting? What gauge is the wire for the circuit, and is the outlet a GFCI.
