bathroom fan


If I install a bathroom fan on the sidewall ,would it eventually malfunction because the fan blade is spinning vertically instead of horizontally?

If it's one that was made for a ceiling yes, plus you would have no good way to keep out outside air.
You need a wall mountable fan.
