basement lighting

How many flurosent two 40 watt T8 fixtures are necessary to light a 25 by 80 foot basement? The basement is mainly used for laundry,
storage, exercise, and dark room. I am thinking of two rows 10 fixtures each row. This would allow one 20 amp circuit. The breaker panel only has two empty slots. The house was built in the eighties. I hope I can find breakers to fit. If not and I must change the panel, no problem I can add many circuits.

basement lighting

That seems like it will be an awful lot of light. Two rows 6-8' off the walls. I would start about 8' from the ends then place a light, and put the next light 8' from the last. I think that comes up to be about 12 total fixtures, 6 in each row.

I'm sure you can find a breaker.

Since you didn't add a location, if you are in canada you can not do lights on a 20A breaker.
