bad outlet --doesn't trip breaker

I have an outlet that went out this morning..but did not trip the breaker. Turning breaker on/off does nothing. Plan to replace outlet..however we do not have grounds going to each outlet in this house. so when I reinstall new outlet what is proper procedure for ground wire in outlet ?

If no ground wire is present, you need to replace the outlet with a GFCI or an ungrounded model.

If you have no ground you have 1 of these options

Use a 2 wire receptacle

Install a GFCI receptacle (marked "NO GRD")

Install a GFCI breaker and a 3 wire receptacle(marked "NO GRD")
