Bad Circuit Breaker?? HELP!!

My oven is 240v

I have a double pole 40 amp breaker that keeps tripping

I've checked the oven wiring twice and nothing is touching, and everything looks good, but it keeps tripping

It just did it again, I went to the box to reset, and the breaker won't lock back 'on'

Do I need to replace it? I'm assuming yes!

TIA

Bad Circuit Breaker?? HELP!!

Is your stove hard wired in .If there is a plug you may want to unplug stove and see if breaker will reset and not trip. This will tell you if the problem is in the stove or electrical circuit.
