Attic is too strong

I had a attic fan installed last year, but it is a bit too powerful for the attic space. I was wondering if there is an electrical reducer of some sort that would allow the fan to run at a slower speed.

thanks for listening!

If it is a belt drive fan, some fans have different pulley wheels that can be changed. If a direct drive fan, some have optional wiring that can be changed.

Post the make and model of the fan. Or better yet google it yourself.

IF you are stating that the fan draws too much air through the attic during the time that it runs you could re-wire it through a timed switch which would allow it to run only during certain times of the day when it is only really needed. These type switches are commonly used on electric water heaters. and can be adapted to fans.
