Is it advisable to not cover attic wiring with insulation?
I had to go up in the attic of the house. DD#2 wants a ceiling fan, and I wanted to see how the ceiling light box was attached. It was miserable up there. I feel sorry for you guys that have to do that every day in the summer. Anyway, all of the wires are on top of the blown-in insulation. The house was rewired in the 70's but it is plastic covered Romex not the cloth wound wire. The insulation was added by the previous owner in 1989 or 1990. It looks like whoever blew in the insulation pulled the wires above it.
If I were to add more insulation in the attic, should I not cover the wires?
