Arc-Fault Breakers & Aluminum


Over the last few years I managed to remove a fair chunk of the Aluminum wiring throughout my home and have pigtailed the rest. I would like (loss minimizing) protection from the remaining aluminum circuits by considering Arc flash breakers for the remaining 7 branches.
Am i being overly paranoid, are my Marette 65 & No-Ox junctions adequate?
Id like professional opinion on my “Breaker” idea and the reliability of pigtailing.

if aluminum wireing is installed correctly there is nothing wrong with it. Its when people start messing with it and start useing incorrect devices that you run into problems.

Sounds like you have done the correct steps so you should have nothing to worry about.

You may not find arc fault breakers available for your panel given its age.
