Hello everyone, I am looking to install a video intercom system for my home. All i know is that I have 1 pair (2 wires) going from the talk/listen/open interface to the outside buzzer. I want to upgrade to a video intercom system. I have read that they have ones where you can use your existing wiring to hookup. I was having a tough time understanding how you can get video without running additional wires for video.
If anybody can educate me on how these systems work or can point me to the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.
I have not seen such a system, but it would have to use wireless video, I would think. While it is technically possible to send video over random wires, it is difficult and not commercially available that I know of. If there is a product that does what you say, it probably uses the wires for buzzer control and power, and sends the video wirelessly.
