Anybody have experience with Southern California Edison?

Hi All,

I have been looking all day on the SCE website for a list of their approved meter panels, and haven't been able to even come up with a sniff of what they might accept.

I have talked to the SCE planner who did my meter spot, and she said that it is on the website, and that I should look there. I've since tried to call back, and am still waiting on a return phone call.

Has anybody here dealt with doing a service upgrade with SCE, and do you know the approved meter panel types, or where the list is?

Thanks!

I am (very slowly) doing just that in SD. SDG&E is the poco here, and they are very helpful, but you also need to talk to your city building inspector since they have a say in how the work is done.

There are specifics on the size and type of panel you are allowed based on the service. It will probably need be EUSERC rated. My guess is whatever they stock at your local store is going to qualify.

That is a useful supplement to the info I have already. I like all the grounding diagrams and how they cite the code sections.
