anti short bushings for MC cable
someone told me awhile ago that using anti short bushings for MC cable is only optional but someone else more recently told me that it is actually required. it makes sense for it to be required, to be honest. just wanted to double check.
i do have some receptacles wired with MC where i did not use bushings and i also wanted to confirm that it should be possible to insert bushings from inside the receptacle after the fact (after, of course, taking the outlet or light out) and not have to pull the cable out of the receptacle. |

anti short bushings for MC cableQuote:
They are not required for MC type cable, they are required for AC type cable though... so make sure you understand the difference.

And they are damn near impossible to install with the cable already in a connector. Of course putting them On like that sort of defeats the purpose anyway.

Not reqyuired, easily installed, generally used. Cannot be installed throught the device box without cable removal.
