Aluminum Wiring

I just bought a house built in 1971. We have almost all aluminum wiring. People's reaction to this differ. Some say that all outlets and switches need to be piggy tailed with copper. Some say to just get aluminum based switches and outlets and it is safe. Which is safer?

if you replace switches or recp's you need ones rated for aluminum/copper.this is not cheap.but cheaper than the al/cu spliceing blocks.you will need three per switch or recp.alumiconn connectors.3.50$each.go to alumiconn web site.

Both methods are the same safe to me if done properly.
