alarm system siren driver question

I have the old alarm diagram and the old speaker/bell thing already installed (see pic 1),

The new alarm comes with this cone 15W speaker. (new alarm has built in Siren driver), not sure how the old one works.

I was wondering if the original one on the wall can be re-used? reading the old diagram I was not sure if they are referring to same kind of speaker.

Also from the alarm panel it is using a pair of thin, non-stranded wire to the old speaker.. seems to be the same type of wire as they used to run the alarm contact/keypads etc, they are very thin (guessing 22 ga?), but run is only around 12'.
is this wiring too thin for the new system with 15W speaker.

Your new speaker will work just fine with either 22 ga or 18 ga wire. Remember this is low voltage.

after some thinking
I think the original box is a speaker as well, the panel might have been porgrammed (note:assignable output) to set that terminal as a siren driver.

The horn shown in the diagram might just have been an example of what could be used depending on the programming

The upper wiring diagram shows an alarm; the item in the lower pictures is a speaker. They are different. The alarm shown in the wiring diagram is a complete siren module. You apply DC power, and it makes noise. The item in the lower picture is a speaker. You must supply it with an amplified audio signal, not DC power.
I am a lawyer, but not your lawyer. And who cares anyways? We're here to talk construction. This is DIY advice, not legal advice.
