AFCI vs MWBC


If you have room, you can add a small subpanel that you can find a 2 pole arcfault breaker to fit.
This is done quite often for older panels that are no longer made.

Thanks for the suggestion, but definitely no room -- I was challenged enough to find a place for the new main panel (old one is in a bathroom ).

No, I'll just handle with a 2-pole for now (they are single poles in the old panel), and address when I convert away from MWBC circuits in the future.
