Adding an outlet to a switched circuit?

bajajeff Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2011 Posts: 13	Adding an outlet to a switched circuit? I want to ad an outlet to a switched circuit in a master bedroom. Which wires typically do you pull from? I don't want the new outlet to be switched. Thanks, Jeff

J. V. Member     Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: South Carolina Posts: 3,313	Adding an outlet to a switched circuit? Use the wire that's hot all the time. Plug a lamp into the receptacle and find the switched and the un-switched wires.
