Adding a new switch and LED's to a circuit

Hi all, Im attempting to add a new light switch and under the cabinet LED lights to the end of a circuit of power outlets and having problems doing the wiring:

I have one set of 12-2 wires (w/ground) coming into the double outlet to which I have (or would like to) place a new box in the wall next to the outlets in which I want to add a single switch which will turn off/on the LED lights under the cabinet.

So it would be: incoming power - (already there) double outlet - (add new) switch - transformer with LED's.

I believe this is at the end of a circuit.... I was hoping to not go up into the ceiling and just jump the power to the switch from the outlets. Is this possible?

Not sure how to wire the outlet and switch... May have bitten off more???

Lighting cannot be added to the 20 amp small appliance circuits in a kitchen.
