Adding garage outlet
Hi everyone,
This looks like a knowledgeable group, so hopefully you can give me a hand.
I currently have a GFCI outlet in my garage. This outlet then feeds a couple outlets on the exterior of my house. I would like to insert another outlet for the garage. My question is: can I simply add another wire for the new outlet and pig-tail (I think that is the word) the two wires on the LOAD side of the existing outlet (the one for the new outlet and the existing one for the external outlets), or do I have to move the wire that feeds the exterior outlets to the LOAD side of my new outlet, thus just having the new wire on the LOAD side of the original garage outlet?
I hope that makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
