Adding exhaust fan to existing light circuit

I have a switch box with two cables (14/2) which controls two recessed lights. I want to add exhaust fan to same switch so existing lights and new fan will come on together. I ran a new wire to from switch box to fan location. The wires are not connected. Do i need to determine supply and load at switch box or just connect all the colors together? thx

Yes you have to determine which is supply and which is load if you want to have the load switch controlled. Connect all the colors together and the fan/light will be on all the time.

Just because you can, doesn't always mean you should
