Adding 15 amp light and switch on a 20 amp circuit

My question is about adding a 15 amp light and switch to a 20 amp circuit. I have a utility room I am remodling and have a 20 amp recepticle in place for my washer. I want to add a light and a switch to control the light in the room. I wired the room with 14/2 wiring and realized when I was finished that the recepticle is rated at 20 amps. Can I hook into this circuit with this wiring, switch, and light?

The washer circuit should be dedicated anyway, just run a new 15 amp circuit from the panel if you have room.
