Now they have primer on them. first how do i get the primer off the sensor and second will it still work after i remove the primer. Please help thanks!

Yes I told him to...I had no idea that was a sensor i thought it was the old light fixture capped off. I am not exactly sure what kind of primer.

You need to find out what kind of primer before we can properly advise you.

Don't worry too much. This is fixable and we all make mistakes, ie. My husband blew up my car.

May just be easier to replace the photocell, they usually don't cost to much.

I was able to just take off the primer that covered the eye with my finger nail should this work? The eye is clear now.
