is it possible to test an ac-dc adaptor

Yeah sure it is bud,

Just plug it in,switch it on and away it goes

Seriously bud,can you define 'test' a little more ?

can i test for a circuit to see if the adaptor is actually working

ac-dc adaptors


Plug it in and put a DC volt meter across it. If you have 0 volts then it is dead. If you have the rated voltage or higher then it is probably good.
