60 amp sub panel

Hi,
I am installing a sub panel off the main. I was advised by the electrician to buy 6/3 and 4/3 wire. the sub panel has a 2 pole 40 amp breaker and a single pole 20 amp breaker. I am connecting my double wall oven to this sub panel and running my appliances off the 20amp. i am assuming he is going to connect the wall oven to the 40 amp using the 4/3 wire and the 6/3 wire will be run from 2 pole 60amp breaker on the main panel to the sub. Am i right?

60 Amp

so 4/3 from the main to the 60 amp and the 6/3 wire for the double oven to the 2 pole 40amp?

Ayuh,.......

Bigger Wire carries a Bigger Current.......

The 4 gage will carry Both the Oven current,+ the appliances.......
The 6 gage will only be carrying the Oven current.....
