my electrician asked me to run to the store to get a couple of 60 amp breakers and he would be by later to put them in so I checked on line to get a ideal on price and found them from 54.95 to 7.49 I do understand that price normally means better quality but for such a range in price their must be other differences can someone tell me what some may be
A 60A double pole breaker for a residential panel should cost $10-15, depending the brand and type of panel. GE, Siemens, Square D HOM, will be less expensive; Square D QO, Cutler Hammer CR more expensive.
Well I learned something today...in all the time perusing the isle for electrical parts, I don't think I've ever noticed the HACR rated breakers. Good to know.
