50 amp or 60 amp

I bought a 60 amp sub panel with 60 amp GFI and a 60amp standard breaker for main box.
I just now discovered exactly which spa model I have.
It came with / is showing using a 50 amp breaker.
It's a 3 wire hook-up, using 2-6's and an 8 for a ground if it matters.
About 80 feet from main box to sub panel, then about 20 feet from sub panel to spa.
Should I return and/or make effort to use a 50 amp, or will the 60 amp setup I have be ok ?
Being ok means my wife won't fry and my house won't burn down.

Thank you

You need to replace the gfci with a 50 amp, but the 60 amp from the main can stay.

Some spas can run on either a 50A or 60A circuit, depends on how the switching is set up on the control board. If you only have a 50A option, then swap out the GFCI, but if you have an option, research how to move the control board jumper and utilize the 60A capacity (powered off obviously). Your current breakers and wiring should cover the load.
