Are you asking about a wall switch, an internal switch in the fan? More details are required.

Please send me instructions on how to replace a 3way switch integrated to a ceiling fan
I am using a new make to replace the damaged unit

Let's make sure we understand your project. You want to replace the 3 position switch that controls the fan speed. You are not replacing the fan or any house wiring.
