3 way switch

How would a 3 way switch be wired if there are 3 = 12/3 lines coming into the box?

Exactly the way the old switch was wired. Because you very carefully marked and labeled the wires and drew a schematic when you took it apart, right?

Do you have any kind of tester to determine if a wire has voltage? What kind?

It's new wiring and it is not connected to the panel yet. The line coming in is red, black, white and ground, the 2nd line also has red, black, white and ground is going to a ceiling fan, The 3rd line also has red, black, white and ground is going to the other 3 way switch. Any suggestions?

Here's one method: If your cable runs are different from these, then there will need to be some changes.

This has the source to the first 3-way switch, with a 14/3 between switches, and 14/3 between S1 and Fan.

Does your fan have a light?

Yes it does, WOW !!! excellent diagram.I have a few questions...If I have a black, red, white and ground coming in do I just cancell the red wire? Also the white wire gets joined together with the white wire going to the light right?

yes and yes. Did you install the 3-wire from the panel, or was it existing?

lol, too late in the evening for me on that one, but yes, it can be done. I'll hand that over to one of those who do it everyday
