Question

3-way lights in basement

johnson217@netzero.com
I am wiring two banks of lights in my basement. Each will operate with 3-way switches. I want them to run on one circuit. I have the wire from the panel running to a junciton box where I plan to connect one switch from eahc of the separate light banks. Will this work?

Could I then connect the lights directly from the junction box or do I need to splice from the switch?

3-way lights in basement

The best thing to do is run the hot to the switch box, pigtail your two hots to your switches, then run the switch wires to the first light then jump to each light from there.
