3 way dimmer switch

I have a 3 way dimmer switch that has 4 wires 1 black, 1 red, 1 green, and 1 brown. Now I am assuming that the green as we all know is the ground the black is the common and red is a traveler. Am I safe to assume that the brown wire is another traveler? My feeds are going to this dimmer switch and the 12/3 is coming from this switch to a normal 3 way and a 12/2 wire from the normal 3 way is going to the lights.

Yes green is ground. But you can't hurt the switch if the other wires are connected wrong. The common is almost always (if not always) the wire by itself. The travelers will be side by side.
