3 Way CFL Blinking

I recently replaced 2 old 3 way switches in my home with new 3-Way lighted ones. All connections appear to be the same. Lights turn ON/OFF properly, but while OFF, the light faintly blinks. I've tried 2 diff bulbs (CFL) with the same result. I also placed the old switch back on one and the blinking stopped.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I found no results in searching these forums. Thanks for any assist!

It has to do with the CFL's and the illuminated switches, lose one or the other.

3 Way CFL Blinking

Probably a small phantom current is present in the lines,
Not enough to fully light it,
But enough for a faint burst every now and then.

Its not phantom at all, the illuminated switch is in series with the lamp at the light fixture, the switch draws such little current it wont light a normal lamp, but it will raise hell with a CFL....
