Question

240v Cable Going To Ac Compresor


hello,

i have central ac in my house. the compressor is outside the house and has a cable running from a fuse box, on the side of the house, to the compressor. it is abot 5ft long. i noticed that some of the insulation of the cable is wore off, and u can see the metal sheething, and it is a bit rusted. should i replace this cable?

What you are probablly seeing is the metal core of type LFMC. commonly called sealtite.

Yes it needs to be put on your list of repairs.
