would like to know how to wire it. it was taken from one room an is going to be installed into another room so its already hooked up to a breaker. it has a red and a blue wire in the back. it also needs to be hooked up to a thermostat.
Run cable to new thermostat location. Run cable from there to new heater location.
Nowadays electric heaters use 2 pole thermostats (that switch off both wires of the incoming cable. Be sure to get the thermostat wires correct, connect the incoming power cable to the "line" side thermostat wires or terminals and connect the cable to the heater to the "load" side thermostat wires or terminals.
If you run the new wires starting at the old heater location there must be a junction box for the wires with exposed cover at that location.
Tornado victims: Do not rush to rebuild. Take your time and look for and get a good contractor. Or consider selling the property and moving to a home that is ready to live in.
