230V motor


I have machine with a motor that says 230V, 13 A, single phase. can I connect this to my electric dryer outlet?

As long as its rated for the amp draw the motor has I cant see why it would be a problem, though it isnt common practice

230V motor


Indeed you can. If the outlet is 4 wire, use only the two hots and ground, not the neutral.
