20amp oven on a 40amp circuit

I have a GE oven model JTP18 the electrical specs state:

KW Rating

240V
3.6
208V

2.7
Breaker Size
20 Amps

I have a 40 amp circuit on #8 wire with a #10 Ground (4 wire total). I've uploaded a specs file and an install file. The specs above are on the specs file. The Install manual has no specs in it. Page 2 and 9 cover "electrical connections."

1. Since this cirrcuit is well over the oven's specs, is it okay to install this oven on this circuiit?

2. Should I replace the 40amp double-pole breaker with a 30amp or 20amp breaker?

Thanks for your feedback.

It doesn't appear the uploads were attached. Must be because I'm a newbie. The info for this overn can be found here:
http://products.geappliances.com/App...&Sku=JTP18BABB

The power ratings are at the bottom of the page. It also has links to the pdfs for specs and install on this page.

20amp oven on a 40amp circuit

The 20 a breaker would provide the maximum level of safety,
and protection for the oven.

Change the 40 to a 20.
