Do you want a switch to control them? Are you saying you need a receptacle to plug them in? Do you want them both switched on together or separate?

Sportstwe, you can't add a plug if it is NM (romex) cable. Is this the case?

You are NOT permitted to use 14/2 NMB as an extention cord witht plug on the end.

Not saying anything about if you should do this according to the NEC, but the answer is yes. 3 blacks together, 3 whites together.

And by the way .............. 3 grounds together!

I can't seem to find it, but any cord and plug device has to be stranded wire. NO NM ALLOWED.
