15-Amp & 20-Amp Breakers

How many circuits Receps/Lights should be on a 15-Amp Breaker and a 20-Amp Beaker?
What is the max you want to put on a breaker, so the breaker is safe and not over loaded?
I always put 11 Receps/Light on each.

Not counting kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry rooms, there is no limit.
Local codes may apply, but 10-12 per is an unwritten standard.

The load on the breaker is determined by what you plug into the outlets, not by how many outlets there are on the circuit. If you have a 15 amp circuit, and you plug in a 15 amp toaster, your circuit is effectively maxed out. As to overloading the breaker to keep it safe, if the breaker is working correctly, it is safe, since it will blow if you overload it. Code does not specify a maximum number of outlets on one circuit, although realistically the more outlets you have on a single circuit, the greater the probability you will plug in too many devices and trip the breaker.

There is no limit on the number of receptacles on a 15A or 20A general lighting branch circuit.

You didn't post your location. In Canada for 15 and 20 circuits the limit is 12 outlets(lights, receptacles, fans, etc.) per circuit.
