100 AMP Service

I have 100 amp service in my house. I want to install a sub panel. The new panel has 12 new circuits, but is labeled 125 amp main lug load center by Cutler Hammer. Does the 25 amp difference make a "difference"? The model is CH12L125BP.

100 AMP Service

No. The sub is rated for up to 125. You can put anything into you want as long as it does not exceed the rating. You may be limited by the main panel as to the size of breaker to feed the sub with.
