Zoned system loud blower

My HVAC is a 3 ton Trane for a 1500 sq foot house (a bit over sized I believe). The contracter who installed this unit 3 years ago did not balance the unit correctly, and installed it on the opposite end of my house from the master bedroom. As a result I freeze in the winter and sweat in the summer!

I finally decided to have the system zoned, and so far so good. The only problem is now the ducts are really loud, like a swooshing hurricane noise through the ducts.

The contracter who did the zone said it's necessary to have the fan on a higher speed because it needs the speed to get to my master bedroom. I'm under the impression that the unit has higher efficiency when it stays on longer vs short cycling on and off, so it seems to me that the fan could go lower which would result in the fan cyling longer.

I'm looking for opinions as to whether i need a higher speed on the blower or if a lower setting would work just fine.

Thank you:-)

There was no reason to increase blower speed.

It can be reset to where it was. Zoning doesn't require higher fan speed, unless it wasn't done right. And the zones are too small, or the bypass is under sized.
