Zone Valve change motor
My zone valve has stopped working, I have bought (on good advise) a new synchronous motor and have been told that a straight replacement would solve the problem.
Has anyone ever changed one of these motors and is it a DIY job.
I would be glad of any advise
It depends on what type of valve it is. Honeywell and Erie motors are easily changed out, two small phillips head screws hold the motor in place, then it just two wire nuts.

Thank you for the advise, it’s a Honeywell.
I did a google search and found a website http://www.grahamvideos.co.uk they have a video for download that demonstrates the job from start to finish.
As you correctly said ‘two screws - two wires’ job done.
About two weeks ago I had a quote from a plumber, you wouldn’t believe what he said it would cost..!
Once again thank you for your help
