Zone Question

In a zoned system which would be more efficient 2 zones combined where your static pressure is lowered and the heat pump is satisfying 1 thermostat or 2 separate zones with a little higher static pressure and more air flow but 2 thermostats to satisfy. Temperature difference between the 2 zones is not a problem, just 1 degree difference when all combined in 1 zone. Heat pump run time seems to be longer with 2 separate zones because of thermostat calling during the other zones cycle, I just didn't know if more air flow means it will satisfy thermostat quicker.
