Are You A Tea Bagger?

Quote:
Are you trying to draw comparison of the present day tea bagging party to the Boston Tea Party? There is no comparison.
You're right, this is FAR more serious.

When in history has a Supreme Court judge ever questioned why she can't make her decision based on laws from other countries? This happened recently.

I'm sure CNN didn't play the interview showing our president saying "our Constitution is fundamentally flawed". This was before he was president.

As do I. I don't get it. When a Republican gives a tax cut it is considered the gold standard. Yet a Dem gives one and its like thanks for nothing. That extra weekly cash is certainly better than those ridiculous stimulous checks received right before the crash in September 2008 which did absolutely nothing to stimulate the economy.

Doesn't this conversation belong under "Off-Topic?" Regardless, here's a good read concerning the tea-baggers:

I never said the cut was bad. And yes, the stimulus checks were a gimmick.

Might as well be
We voted in a State TAX cut
The politicians have refused to allow the full tax cut to go into effect
AND they voted THEMSELVES guaranteed pay raises

The heck with the Tea party
Someone get a rope & let's find a tree

Only a blind, deaf and brain dead man would believe the Bush tax cuts to be a good thing. It is my opinion that cutting taxes during a war is right up there with, oh well, even going into Iraq in the first place. It's a stupid move.

But, when a Republican gives a tax cut, it hasn't traditionally been in parallel with a couple trillion dollar spending bill, as the Obama plan did. So, yeah, thanks for nothing...

Being as though the original Republican budget plan consisted of 29 pages of nonsense and absolutely no numbers to speak of, what should be done? Should Obama just do nothing and hope everything gets better? He is following sound principles that led the country out of the Great Depression.

We need to pay as we go. Spending for Iraq and Vietnam was put off into the future. This gives us our present conditions. We do NOT need to raise taxes, we NEED to cut spending.

You sir are misinformed. Since when did people stop doing research before spewing out babble? Oh wait thats what they teach us in indoctrination school for 13+ years, and since the advent of the internet, babble is at an all time high.

The tea parties that were hosted yesterday on "tax day" were not sponsored by any one party. They are not "republican" or "democrat", I was at the one in Fresno, CA and there were people from both sides of the political spectrum, choosing to voice their concerns with how big the government has grown on the backs of tax payers hard earned dollars. Much like the Boston Tea Party in reaction to Britain's taxation, which helped start the revolutionary war, these tea parties are American people trying to wake up the rest of America (people like you) who are still stuck in your political ideology while our appointed "leaders" squander our hard earned money. Get your head out of the sand.

And yes it may seem like these tea parties are a "republican" sponsored event, but that is just because the conservative media outlets and voices choose to cover it because fiscal irresponsability has gone far too long, and a reaction from the American voters has been needed.

I know what you are getting at here. The great myth is that WW2 got us out of the depression. The Republican spin machine would have you believe that. Tea bags anyone?

A 1,077 page bailout plan is better? One that was held back until 11pm the night before it was to be voted on?
