Question

York Stellar Plus "Ventor Motor" Running 24/7

Guys:

I have a 1994 vintage York Stellar Plus Gas furnace that does not shut off the air induction motor - ever.

What are the triggers for this motor. Looking at the schematic it looks like a pressure switch but also some other stuff. What are the places to look?

Thanks,

BikePilot

control board typically controls the inducer motor. The relay for the inducer on the control board has most likely failed. The repair would be to replace the control board if that is indeed where the power is being supplied from.

If you can identify the inducer relay on the board, you can always try tapping it with the plastic end of a screwdriver to see if it will unfreeze.
I'd only do that when you know that a replacement board is available as this form of repair is probably temporary and might even precipitate a relay failure.

How, don't feel bad... I believe some of mapsters posts and others have been removed from this thread. You did not comment on an old thread necessarily.

Its a big board. Lots of forums, lots of threads, lots of post. We don't see every thread, let alone every post. But with the memberships help (by reporting), we can keep threads in check.
