York size?

York model H2RA030506A

2 units on side of house.

Wondering what 'size' they are, will be looking into generators to power them in case of power outage, helpful to know 'tonnage' I think.

All info and suggestions welcome.

TIA.

The 30 in the model number states it to be a 2.5 ton.

12 (short for 12,000 btu's being 1 ton) plus 12 (one ton) plus 6 (half of twelve so 6,000 or 6-half of one ton) equals 30.

30 = 2.5 ton.

Moreso than tonnage is kw and amperage.

Thanks Doc. Based on our house size, I figured they were 2 ton units, with this new info we might have to get a bigger generator to support up-to-5-ton...

The label says the min amps are 17.5, max 30
