york rooftop furnace will not ignite

i have 1997 york rooftop furnace that was only used for the ac. i wanted to get it running to use as a back up. it worked breifly....then quit. the inducer comes on and the fan blower runs. i was told to replace the board....but still the same. told to replace the gas valve..but still the same. gas valve is honeywell sv9501. now i have been told that the gas line is probably too small. it is a 1/2 inch line that comes out of a 3/4 inch line that also runs another furnace. the 1/2 inch line is about 25 feet long. any ideas?

might of cooked the glow coil or the spark ignition isn't that clean causing a low sparking...do you hear the spark ignition sparking strong like a stove top sparker remove the pilot assembly and brush it and sandpaper the probe lightly

the hot surface igniter does not glow and there is no clicking. there is no gas going to the pilot. the pressure switch appears to be working. is it possible to shunt the switch?

Do you have voltage anywhre in the low voltage circut?Did you check the gas pressure with and without the other furnace running?
Have you olmed out the limits to see if they are closed?
If you are going to continue to repalce parts until it starts working go for a transfomer and pressure switch next.
Oh and is the gas cock open?Did you purge the gas line of air?
Oh yea another thing. If its a white Rogers ignition is the pilot sensor working. That would be the 3 or 4 prong thing that plugs into the gas valve.Again if its White Rogers you might want to check that the mounting screws holding the spark box on is touching clean bare metal and its tight. This is because the rectification signal comes from the unit ground back into the spark box.
