York Diamond 80 Won't Start

Hi all. Brand new here. I just found this site. My 9 year old York Diamond 80 gas furnace won't start. T-stat seems OK, it has power to the board and the LED flashes once but I can't find out what that means. The code chart on the board starts with 2 flashes and goes up from there. Circuit board is mounted vertically on the side of the blower. The inline fuse under the board looks good. This furnace has been trouble free for 9 years. It worked fine this morning. In the Albuquerque, NM area. Not freezing now but this "warm" spell won't last long. I appreciate any and all help here.

None of those things happens. No response at all to the t-stat calling for heat. I've done nothing to it lately which might have jiggled or broken a wire, etc.

R & C has 24V across it, W & C has nothing. Is nothing across W & C a bad reading? There is also 24V across the secondary of the transformer that the 3A fuse is inline with. T-stat connections on the board are tight. There is nothing connected to the common terminal.

if t-stat was calling for heat when you checked this then your t-stat is probably at fault, go to t-stat and remove r and w and connect together, if furnace runs its t-stat

Well that was easy! The problem seems to be with the connector panel on the wall the t-stat mounts to. The red wire was loose but after tightening it, it still won't turn on. It's running now with the t-stat pulled off and the red & white wires jumpered, but it won't work with the wires connected to the terminals and the t-stat mounted. The t-stat module is battery powered and still shows temp and the temp setting, so I'm guessing it's the connector panel. Any quick way to check the t-stat with it off the wall? Thank you very much! This is a great site! Saved me an expensive house call.

replace batteries! probably not pulling contacts completely closed. other wise you can check resistance between r and w with stat calling for heat while off wall, should have little resistance

Already did that. Batteries were good but swapped them out anyway. Contacts are open when calling for heat. Weird that the t-stat would go bad AND have a loose wire at the same time. I'll have to play with it more later. At least it's running and the problem is isolated. Thanks again!

What I was thinking. Even though loose, the wire was probably still making contact.
