Wooden Platform for A/C Compressor Unit

MrBill_DIY Member   Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 78	Wooden Platform for A/C Compressor Unit Is it against code to install an A/C compressor unit on a wooden platform instead of a concrete slab? For space reasons, I will need to relocate my unit when it needs to be replaced, and building a 30"x30" wooden platform for it would solve the space problem.

In order to have my condensing unit above my A coil I had to build a wood frame. Attached it right to the foundation of the house on one side a sank 4x4 posts into the ground for the other side. Neat and compact. __________________ ................."I want a house that has gotten over all its troubles. Master of Cold Member   Join Date: Aug 2011 Posts: 729	Wooden Platform for A/C Compressor Unit You have to check your local codes. That wooden frame is a big no-no in gulf coast states. They must be anchored to a concrete pad.
