Wood Stove Installation

I'm in need of some help of how to install a Wood Stove...primarily the venting. The manufacturer gives all the dimensions for the interior safety distances but I don't know what to do for the pipe/venting.

I'm not going straight up through the roof...I'd like to put a 90 out the wall and another 90 going up and mount the pipe/vent to the flashing/Eaves (leaving some space in between so the pipe doesn't touch the Eaves/flashing).

Im going to be putting vinyl siding so I know i need some sort of heat shield. Do I cut out a section of the siding or do I mount on top of siding? What sort of pipe do I need? I know the interior pipe is different from the exterior (insulated?) pipe.

Any help would be much appreciated! If you have diagrams or a website that would be even better! Thanks

The best place to start is contacting you local Building Code Office and applying for a homeowners permit to instal the woodstove. In most cases they are more than willing to help, and can answer most of your questions.

Second would be to post the manufacturer and model number of the stove you intend to instal. This will come in handy when talking to the inspector also.
