Wood Stove Blower question

Anyone familiar with wood stove blowers?

The fans on my wood stove I wouldn't necessarily classify as 'a blower' they look a lot more like a computer fan. Anyway, one of them barely spins, like it's hung up or needs cleaned out... well i pulled it all apart, it appears to be some sort of electromagnetic fan, i cleaned them out, blew them out with air, greased the parts where bushings ride, and it still didn't do much. Another one squeals like i'm roasting a live pig in the stove, but the third seems to work just fine.

I'm not sure if I can get replacements for these. I don't know the model number of my woodstove, only that it is an Earthstove.

The information on the fans is :

Aerovox S10625082
115V .5A. 60HZ
Impedance protected
Edit : I believe the fan blades to be 4.5" in diameter

Is there any way to replace these? I've done a google search and found nothing. If not, can i easily put something else into it as long as it fits behind the shroud? I'm just not sure about the fan control, maybe i'd have to replace that too? If nothing else point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Alan

Yeah, except computer fans aren't 115AC, they operate on DC voltage. These are also a little heavier than your average 4.5" Computer fan.

Maybe I am just not in the right place with this question.

Probably an OEM only fan.
Contact the dealer for what ever brand you have. He should be able to order replacements for you.

Hi Alan,

I know it's been a few years since your post. I am refinishing a wood stove also and it's probably the same type as yours. I just finished disassembling and reassembling the fans to clean them out and refurbish them. If you still need it, the manufacturer's information plate is still attached to my stove. I'll copy it down and post it onto this forum tomorrow. It is probably the same type as yours or at least made by the same manufacturer.

I'll be able to install the wood stove/fireplace insert within a few days. I have to finish painting this last part and reinstall the fans... then find a friend to help with the heavy lifting.
