Wood stove

Sorry...ok....If i use a woodstove as my only source of heat (small one story house) I know that most of the heat pools around the ceiling....so, if i install ducts in the ceiling that lead to individual areas in the house...will the heat recirculate itself? Thanks.

If your looking to warm up the attic so it can cause mold and ice dams then that's the way I would do it.

It all depends on the house and where the other rooms are. I would not put holes in the walls, but there are door corner fans that could help move that hot air to other rooms. I dont know how well the work, or if they are noisy.... google seach "door corner fan".... just a thought.

I was just shopping for fireplace inserts and the guy was telling me that he had his house set up so that the intake duct for the central air upstairs was located downstairs where the fire place and he used the fire then to warm the entire house.

Just run the furnace fan, it will even the temperature out throughout.

Do you want it your way or the right way?
