Hello to all those wiser than myself,
I'm attempting to install a Tradeline (Honeywell) L6006C strap-on Aquastat on a Lennox CBWMV (Heat only) Hydronic Air Handler. The Lennox unit is being fed by a Wall Hung Quietside DPW-120A Dual Purpose Tankless Water Heater. The purpose of the Aquastat will be to prevent the Air Handler Blower Motor from coming on in the event the water temperature in the Heating Coil drops below 160º. This happens from time to time due to the fact that the Quietside unit also provides Domestic Hot Water to the home, and possesses DHW priority. Therefore, when domestic hot water is in use, no hot water is provided to the closed loop heating side of the system. So if you are running hot water and the Thermostat calls for heat at the same time, you get that dreaded cold air blast! According to the manufacturer wiring an Aquatat to the Air Handler Blower will prevent this.
I have installed the L6006C Aquastat on the CBWMV's Heating Coil. My question is: What is the correct method of wiring the Aquastat to the Lennox CBWMV unit. I have provided links to photos and schematics for the Lennox CBWMV Air Handler unit and the Tradeline L6006C Aquastat.
